Musings
'Nostalgia is not necessarily for the past, but regret for not being close enough to ourselves in the present'
Gabriel Garcia Marquez

I am an artist - sculptor, curator and printmaker living and working in County Durham, North East England. I create sculpture in bronze, aluminium and pewter, papier mache, wood, wax and ink, wool, textiles, found objects.
We have somehow limited our sensory experiences to something that is indirect, gained mainly through a screen. Yet, we forget the joy of using our senses to experience the world first hand.
The experience of being in the moment is paramount to our well being. My work aims to re-establish our connection with the senses, in particular, touch.
